 OPTIMISM > DOUBT

WHY NOW?

This February, Roots Down and GreenHive are launching the second edition of the Regenerative Youth Summit. A unique, bold experience designed to support the next generation of climate leaders. Amidst the challenges of the climate crisis, young people are looking to get involved, and there's a wealth of opportunity in the Atlanta Metro area. We want to keep the spark of environmental hope alive within the upcoming green workforce.

Oftentimes, a barrier to entry for regenerative careers is not knowing how to get started. Many who are entering the green space can find themselves indecisive, or uncertain about which steps they could and should take. This event provides an opportunity to see what’s available in the vibrant city of Atlanta, and foster connections between early-career professionals, peers, and current leaders in the field.

The Regenerative Youth Summit: Environmental Activism as Art is a free, youth-led gathering designed for students, artists, and emerging sustainability leaders (ages 18–26+). Hosted by GreenHive x Roots Down, the edition of the summit explores how creative expression can shift culture, strengthen communities, and advance climate solutions. Through art, conversation, film, and interactive networking, the evening creates space for connection, collaboration.

The evening closes with an open mic designed to center youth voices and creative expression. This is a space for spoken word, poetry, music, storytelling, short reflections, or spontaneous moments of truth/ Whether you come prepared with a piece or feel inspired in the moment, this is your chance to speak your mind. Prompts will be available for those who want inspiration.
